Do you like stories from the past? Then this walk is for you! On Banisveld you will discover how Natuurmonumenten transformed a garbage dump back into beautiful nature. And you'll go back in time on the former agricultural enclave of Balsvoort, where farming families used to lead a tough self-sufficient existence. A gripping tragedy took place here during World War II. You will also visit the observation tower on Banisveld: The Tour de Frans. This beautiful heathland area, between Oisterwijk and Boxtel, is pre-eminently a nature reserve where nature and cultural history are central. The excursion leader will show you the most beautiful spots.
This field trip is geared toward adults. Older children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
