GUO-concert: Lavinia Meijer, harp & storytelling
Lavinia Meijer (1983) has appeared on our GUO stage twice before, and she has never disappointed. This third time, the Dutch harpist is taking a very special approach: an autobiographical concert. The specific inspiration: her autobiographical book *Vleugels van Papier* (Wings of Paper). She quotes extensively from it, thereby exposing herself in a vulnerable way. The combination of enchanting harp playing and a moving anthology promises a multifaceted matinee. Here, you’ll get to know the person behind the musician Lavinia Meijer more intimately than ever before. Of course, she plays the harp, and along the way, she takes you on a journey through her extraordinary life story. She does this through personal stories about her childhood in the Netherlands as an adopted child from South Korea, about challenges and opportunities, about the choices she made and the sacrifices she made, leading up to where and who she is today.
