The Jewish cemetery in Oisterwijk from 1748 is one of the oldest in the Netherlands and is a National Monument.

Every last Sunday of the month from April to October you can join a free guided tour and learn more about this unique monument. A city guide of the Heemkundekring will tell you about the rich history of the cemetery and about the Jews who lived, worked and lived in Oisterwijk from 1740 onwards. In the metahouse an explanation is given about the manner of burial and by means of various inscriptions on the tombstones a story is told about named Jewish inhabitants. Registration for the tour is required.

Weekly opening

From May 1 to October 1, the cemetery is also open to the public every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Hostesses and hosts are present. They also provide information, but no guided tours. There is an information leaflet at the cemetery explaining points of interest.
