Driving competitions Heukelom
Traditionally, the outdoor season of compound driving is opened with the driving competition in Heukelom. This combined driving competition consists of three parts that are ridden with horse and carriage (harness).
Program
On Friday and Saturday the program includes dressage and skills. At the dressage the teams have to ride various figures/exercises which will be judged by a jury. The skill is a course in which the horse-drawn carriage tries to clear a course with pawns with balls on them within a certain time. Time overrun and dropped balls result in penalty points.
On Sunday, the spectacular marathon takes place, which consists of a road course and various terrain obstacles that must be completed as quickly and flawlessly as possible.
