Spending the night with kids: the best places in Oisterwijk

Spending the night with children requires cozy, safe and child-friendly places where adventure and relaxation go hand in hand. In Oisterwijk, there are plenty of possibilities! From mini camping to vacation parks and from spending the night in a gypsy wagon to sleeping in an adventurous tree house. Below we share some great places where you as a family can enjoy a well-deserved vacation.

1. Camping De Gerrithoeve - Oisterwijk

De Gerrithoeve is highly recommended for families with young children because of its beautiful location as well as its many facilities. You will find an indoor and outdoor playground. In good weather, children can enjoy themselves outside on the large playground with cable car, swings and climbing equipment. If the weather is less clement, they can expend their energy in the indoor playground, with its XXL building blocks, maze, sandbox and play table with trains. For animal friends, there is also an animal pasture.

In addition to these fun play facilities, De Gerrithoeve also has an attractive terrace and restaurant where you as a parent can enjoy yourself while the kids play. You can have lunch and dinner here and of course there is a special kids menu. At the Gerrithoeve, Brabant hospitality is key.

The country campsite has a beautiful location close to three nature reserves and in between Oisterwijk and Oirschot. So if you want to explore the area with the kids, De Gerrithoeve is an ideal place. You can stay overnight with your own tent, caravan or camper. Are you with several people? Then the vacation home is also ideal! It is suitable for 10 to 12 people.

2. Morgenrood - Oisterwijk

At Natuurkampeerterrein Morgenrood you stay in the middle of the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen on the edge of nature reserve Kampina. It is a quiet, car-free campsite where children can run around freely and play in nature.

The campsite is ideal for families who like basic camping and adventure. You can spend the night here with your own tent, caravan or camper. Don't have your own camping equipment? Or would you prefer something more luxurious? Then there is also a possibility to spend the night in a gypsy wagon, log cabin or in the cottage for 10 people.

The campground has a spacious playground with swings, climbing equipment, seesaw and a slide. The playground is one big sandbox. So making sand cakes, is of course possible. Morgenrood also has a large field with goals for a game of soccer and an area to play basketball. During the season many fun things are organized for children. For example, you can do crafts and roast marshmallows on the campfire.

Children will not get bored easily here! Through all these activities children get to know each other quickly and you can see that friends are made very quickly.

3. The Lindehoef - Moergestel

A cozy mini-camping site where you can spend the night with your own tent, caravan or camper or in one of the apartments. The Lindehoef in Moergestel is a stone's throw from the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen and stands for Brabant hospitality. Owner Inge says: "I think it is important that everyone feels at home. Whether you come once or more often, you just have to feel comfortable here. Children bring cosiness with them and are therefore very welcome".

There are lots of facilities for children: a sandbox, swing, playhouse, trampoline, Four in a Row XXL, various playground equipment, table tennis table and a large soccer field so you can play a game of soccer with your parents or grandparents. You can leave your children's bikes at home, they have plenty of them here! In the barn there are all kinds of bicycles, go-karts, pedal tractors and scooters.

For animal lovers, the campground also has something fun, the cuddle barn! This is where the guinea pigs live. You will also find two ponies that you can pet and brush.

From the campsite you have a view of the horses, because Minicamping De Lindehoef is also a horse pension.

4. Pergama Landjuweel in Haaren

A fine spacious farm campsite with beautiful nature in Haaren and with lots of entertainment for the kids! At Pergama Landjuweel the children will not get bored easily. There are several playgrounds: a playground with swings and climbing apparatus and a playground with play equipment and several trampolines.

You'll also find a spacious sports field where fun activities are regularly organized. And outside is a table tennis table. For animal lovers, there is a cuddle barn. If the weather is not so good, the children can have fun here among the animals or in the indoor play area with all kinds of games and table soccer. You can also leave your bikes at home at this campsite, as the barn is full of bikes, go-karts, etc.

This Brabant family campground even has an animation team. The daughters who live there find it super fun to help the kids bake cupcakes or organize games. A perfect location for families who like to be active during the vacations.

At Pergama Landjuweel you can stay overnight with your own tent, caravan or camper but also in a very special vacation home with a hot air balloon room. In this room you sleep in the basket of a hot air balloon.

5. Landal Klein Oisterwijk

This vacation park is in full development and will be further expanded in the coming years. Already it is a beautiful place with luxury lodges with a newly constructed wooden playground with climbing equipment and a nest swing. With nice weather it is super fun to take a dip in the swimming pond. The swimming pond is fenced off so the little ones can stay up front. There is a beach around the pond. So while your kids are romping in the sand, you can enjoy the sun's rays. If you love fishing, be sure to bring your fishing pole because there is another large pond where you can fish.

Grab a drink or ice cream with your kids at the beach bar and take a seat in the lounge area. Do you prefer a bite to eat? You can do so in the new restaurant or on the terrace.

Also enjoy the many other activities on the grounds of Landal Klein Oisterwijk: play a game of Adventure Mini Golf, take a trip with the whole family in the pedal carts or take on the challenge in the Escaperoom. 6. Bed en Boshuisjes - Oisterwijk

Spend a cozy night in a forest or tree house. How unique do you want it to be? At Bed en Boshuisjes in Oisterwijk you can spend the night in a cottage in the middle of nature. Ideal for families who love peace, space and the outdoors, but don't necessarily want to camp. Beautiful forest cottages with lots of privacy and direct access to nature. Here children can play in the woods, build huts and explore. The cottages are tastefully decorated and fully equipped. If you stay here you are not alone, because the pig Timo and his chickens stay here and make it even cozier.

Besides the forest houses, you also have the unique tree houses. You sleep a few meters above the ground. The tree houses even have a private terrace with hot tub. Bathing outside in the middle of the forest. How beautiful do you want it? Needless to say, this is the favorite of all children! You will also find a trampoline and a cozy place to light a fire together.

7. Heukeloms Hoefke - Heukelom

A quiet, small-scale campsite in the countryside where children can play in a natural environment. You will find a playground with swing and climbing apparatus, table tennis table and plenty of space to explore. The playground is in the middle of the field, so you always have a view of your children.

A nice place for families who want to avoid the crowds and spend the night with their own camping equipment. Het Heukeloms Hoefke has recently installed a new sanitary building. Next to the campsite is the horse pasture, so you can look right out at the horses grazing. And who knows you might see a chicken scurry by, because there are plenty of them around here too. From Heukeloms Hoefke you can also easily reach the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen.

8. Den Heijkant - Moergestel

Welcome to the Brabant countryside. Den Heijkant is a fine location in Moergestel where you can spend the night with your own campervan on the camper place or in one of the vacation homes. Den Heijkant has a small-scale camper village with 15 paved places. Prefer something more luxurious? Then you can stay in the beautiful monument where 8 vacation homes are created. These vacation homes are suitable for 2-5 persons. There is even a breakfast and sandwich service. A nice place where peace and quiet is central with a touch of farm life. They also have their own lunch café so you don't have to go far for a nice cup of coffee, lunch or drinks. Ideal anyway!

Children have also been thought of: there is a large playing field with a trampoline, sandpit and various bicycles, scooters and pedal tractors. Den Heijkant is also the ideal base for a day trip to De Efteling. After an adventurous day, children can enjoy the playground on site.

9. De Rozephoeve - Oisterwijk

A beautiful and quiet mini campsite with spacious pitches and cozy apartments on the edge of nature reserve the Kampina and close to the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen. This farm campsite is located on Landgoed De Rozephoeve. Perfect for families who choose peace and quiet and enjoy hiking or cycling, and are looking for a relaxing stay in green surroundings. From the campsite you look out onto the meadow full of cattle, beautiful to see. Next to the apartments is a playground with swings and several climbing apparatus.

The Rozephoeve also includes a cozy farm store. Here they sell the exclusive Wagyu meat from their own cattle. Nice for on the BBQ or to take home with you, so you can still enjoy a wonderful vacation at home.

A day out in Oisterwijk with your kids, there is plenty to do!
